Kufū is a Japanese Zen term for creative inventiveness during work.

In these paintings, as in my early sculpture from the late 70’s, and in the composition of the Classical Series paintings, I embrace randomness and chance in their creation. With a limited colour palette I endeavour to create poetic compositions on an intimate scale.
